4.3. Pairing with a Smart Home Hub

The sensor uses Zigbee 3.0 for connectivity. Follow the pairing instructions specific to your smart home hub.

4.3.1. General Zigbee Pairing

1. Ensure your smart home hub is in pairing mode.
2. Press and hold the reset button on the sensor for 5 seconds. The LED light will turn red and flash in blue, indicating it's in Zigbee pairing mode.
3. The sensor will exit pairing mode after 3 minutes if not paired.
4. Once paired, the sensor will appear in your hub's device list.

4.3.2. Pairing with Amazon Alexa App

Before pairing, ask Alexa to check for updates. Then, follow these steps:

• Battery Life Shorter Than Expected: Extreme temperatures can affect battery performance. Ensure the sensor is in an environment within its operating temperature range.
• SmartThings Driver Issues: For SmartThings, driver installation may be required. Refer to the quick start guide or manufacturer's website for specific driver installation instructions.
