Follow these steps to set up your Centon External SSD:
- Lumikizani SSD: Locate the USB port on your computer (desktop or laptop). Your Centon External SSD comes with a USB cable that supports both USB-C and USB-A connections.
- For USB-C ports: Directly plug the USB-C end of the cable into your computer's USB-C port and the other end into the SSD.
- For USB-A ports: Use the included USB-A adapter on the USB-C cable, then plug the USB-A end into your computer's USB-A port and the other end into the SSD.
- Yatsani: The SSD draws power directly from the USB connection. No external power supply is needed.
- Kuzindikira Chipangizo: Your operating system (Windows or macOS) should automatically detect the SSD. It may appear as a new drive in "My Computer" (Windows) or "Finder" (macOS).
- Initial Formatting (if necessary): The drive comes pre-formatted as exFAT for cross-platform compatibility. If you wish to use a different file system (e.g., NTFS for Windows, HFS+ or APFS for macOS), you can format the drive using your operating system's disk utility. Note: Formatting will erase all data on the drive.
