The Tile Mate (2022) is a versatile Bluetooth tracker designed to help you locate your everyday essentials. Attach it to items like keys, backpacks, or purses, and use the free Tile app on your smartphone to find them quickly. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure you get the most out of your Tile Mate.

1. Download the Tile App

Download the free Tile app from the Apple App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Saka "Tile" and install the official application.

2. Create an Account or Log In

Open the Tile app. If you are a new user, follow the on-screen prompts to create a new account. Existing users can log in with their credentials.

3. Pair Your Tile Mate

  2. Open the Tile app and tap the "+" icon to add a new Tile.

Operating Your Tile Mate

1. Finding Nearby Items

When your Tile Mate is within Bluetooth range (up to 250 ft / 76 m), you can use the Tile app to make it ring. Open the app, select your Tile Mate, and tap the "Find" button. Your Tile Mate will play a loud melody, helping you pinpoint its location.

2. Finding Far Away Items

If your Tile Mate is outside of Bluetooth range, the Tile app will display its last known location on a map. This feature helps you retrace your steps to where your item was last seen.

3. Finding Your Phone

Can't find your phone? Double-press the Tile logo button on your Tile Mate. Your phone will ring, even if it's on silent mode, making it easy to locate.

4. Notify When Found

If your Tile Mate is lost and found by someone else, they can scan the QR code located on the back of your Tile. You can add your contact information within the Tile app so that the finder can reach you directly.

5. Smart Home Compatibility

Tile Mate works with popular smart home devices. You can link your Tile account with Amazon Alexa, Hey Google, and Siri to use voice commands for finding your items.

The Tile Mate (2022) is equipped with a non-replaceable battery designed to last up to 3 years. Once the battery life is depleted, the device will need to be replaced. There is no user-serviceable battery compartment.

Your Tile Mate is water-resistant with an IP67 rating. This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes). However, it is not recommended for prolonged submersion or use in extreme water conditions.

  • Tile not ringing or connecting: Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth is on and the Tile app is running in the background. Move closer to your Tile Mate. If the issue persists, try restarting your phone and the Tile app.

  • Battery life concerns: The Tile Mate battery is designed for up to 3 years of use. If you experience significantly shorter battery life, ensure the Tile is not constantly out of range, which can drain the battery faster.
