1. Mawu Oyamba

Thank you for choosing the AEGIS Electronic Safe Box. This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new security safe. Designed for home and office use, this safe offers robust protection for your valuables with its heavy-duty steel construction, digital keypad, and anti-theft alarm system.

The safe features a compact design, a removable interior shelf for flexible storage, and options for wall or floor mounting to enhance security.

2. Kukhazikitsa

2.1 Unboxing ndi Kuyang'ana Koyamba

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components are present: the safe unit, emergency keys, and this instruction manual.

2.2 Kuyika kwa Battery

The safe requires 4 x 1.5V AA Alkaline batteries (not included) to power the digital keypad. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door. Insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.3 Setting Your Personal Code

  1. Chitseko chotetezeka chikatsegulidwa, dinani batani lofiira loti "reset" lomwe lili mkati mwa chitseko, pafupi ndi hinge. Mudzamva kulira.
  2. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  3. Press the "#" or "E" button to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep.
  4. Test your new code with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

2.4 Kuyika Chitetezo

For enhanced security, the AEGIS safe can be mounted to a wall or floor. It features pre-drilled holes on the bottom and back. Mounting hardware is typically included. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the safe's weight and contents.

Masitepe okwera:

  1. Sankhani malo oyenera kuyikapo.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the safe's back or bottom onto the wall/floor.
  3. Boolani mabowo oyendetsa pa malo olembedwa.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided mounting bolts. Ensure the safe is firmly attached and cannot be easily removed.

3. Kuyendetsa Chitetezo

3.1 Kutsegula Chitseko

There are three primary methods to open your AEGIS safe:

  • Kugwiritsa Ntchito Digital Code: Enter your personal 3-8 digit code, then press "#" or "E". The green light will illuminate, and you will hear a beep. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
  • Kugwiritsa Ntchito Emergency Key: Insert the emergency key into the keyhole on the keypad panel. Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the door. This method bypasses the digital keypad.
  • Emergency Power with Digital Code: If the batteries are dead and you don't have the emergency key, connect a USB-C cable (not included) to the emergency power port on the keypad. This will temporarily power the keypad. Enter your digital code, then press "#" or "E", and turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

3.2 Closing the Safe

To close the safe, simply push the door shut firmly. The locking bolts will automatically engage. Ensure the door is fully closed and secured.

3.3 Kusintha Code User

To change your personal code, follow the same steps as initial code setup (Section 2.3). With the door open, press the red reset button, enter your new 3-8 digit code, and confirm with "#" or "E".

3.4 Using the Removable Shelf

The safe includes a removable shelf to help organize your valuables. You can adjust its position or remove it entirely to accommodate larger items.

4. Kusamalira

4.1 Kusintha kwa Battery

When the yellow indicator light illuminates during operation, it signifies low battery power. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continued functionality. Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries.

4.2 Kuyeretsa

Yeretsani kunja kwachitetezo ndi chofewa, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish. Do not spray liquids directly onto the keypad or lock mechanism.

5.1 Keypad Indicator Lights

  • Kuwala Kobiriwira: Indicates a correct password entry.
  • Yellow Light: Indicates low battery power. Replace batteries immediately.
  • Kuwala Kofiyira: Indicates an incorrect password input or an error.

5.2 Dongosolo la Alamu Yoletsa Kuba

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm. If three consecutive incorrect codes are entered, the alarm will activate for a short period, and the keypad will temporarily lock to prevent further attempts.

5.3 Safe Will Not Open

  • Onani Mabatire: If the keypad is unresponsive or the yellow light flashes, replace the batteries.
  • Incorrect Code: Ensure you are entering the correct personal code.
  • Kufikira Mwadzidzidzi: Use the emergency key or the USB-C emergency power feature if the digital code fails due to battery issues.
  • Kutseka kwa Keypad: If the alarm has been triggered, wait for the lockout period to expire before attempting to open the safe again.
