This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your DEWALT DXFRS300-SV1 FRS Walkie Talkies. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.

The DEWALT DXFRS300-SV1 walkie talkies are designed for demanding environments, offering long-range communication, rugged IP67 protection against water and dust, and secure channels. They are suitable for coordinating teams in various settings, from construction sites to outdoor activities.

3. Kukhazikitsa

3.1 Kuyika kwa Battery

Before first use, install the Li-Polymer battery into each walkie talkie.

3.2 Kuyitanitsa Mabatire

The walkie talkies come with rechargeable Li-Polymer batteries. It is recommended to fully charge the batteries before initial use.

You have two charging options:

  • Desktop Charger: Place the walkie talkie into the dual-port desktop charging dock. Ensure the radio is seated correctly and the charging indicator light illuminates.
  • Kulipiritsa USB-C: Connect a USB-C cable to the charging port on the side of the walkie talkie and then to an AC adapter or compatible USB power source.

3.3 Attaching the Holster/Belt Clip

To carry your walkie talkie conveniently, attach the provided holster or belt clip.

  2. Slide the clip downwards until it locks securely into place.

3.4 Connecting Headsets

For hands-free operation and enhanced privacy, connect the DXFRSSV1 headsets to the walkie talkies.

  1. Locate the speaker/mic jack on the side of the walkie talkie.
  2. Insert the headset's 2.5mm plug firmly into the jack.
  3. Adjust the earpiece and microphone for comfortable use.

4. Malangizo Ogwiritsira Ntchito

4.1 Kuyatsa/Kuzimitsa

To power on the walkie talkie, rotate the power/volume knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates. To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

4.2 Kusankha Channel

Your DEWALT walkie talkie operates on 22 FRS channels. To change channels:

  1. Dinani pa MODE button to enter channel selection mode.
  2. Gwiritsani ntchito Pamwamba/Pansi mabatani kuti musankhe njira yomwe mukufuna (1-22).
  3. Dinani pa MODE button again to confirm your selection or wait a few seconds for it to auto-confirm.

4.3 Privacy Codes (CTCSS/DCS)

The radios support 121 privacy codes (38 CTCSS / 83 DCS) to minimize interference from other users on the same channel. To set a privacy code:

  1. Select your desired channel first (see 4.2).
  2. Dinani pa MODE button twice to enter privacy code selection mode.
  3. Gwiritsani ntchito Pamwamba/Pansi mabatani kuti musankhe nambala yachinsinsi yomwe mukufuna.
  4. Dinani pa MODE batani kachiwiri kutsimikizira.

4.4 Kutumiza ndi Kulandira

Kuti mutumize, dinani ndikugwira batani Push-to-Talk (PTT) button located on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.

4.5 Ntchito ya VOX Yopanda Manja

The Voice-Activated Transmission (VOX) feature allows you to transmit without pressing the PTT button. This is especially useful when your hands are occupied.

  1. To activate VOX, consult your radio's specific menu settings (usually accessed via the MODE batani).
  2. Adjust the VOX sensitivity level to prevent accidental transmissions or missed voice activations.

4.6 Vibration Alerts

The walkie talkies feature vibration alerts for incoming transmissions, providing a discreet notification in noisy environments or when you cannot hear the audio alert.

  1. To enable or disable vibration alerts, navigate through the radio's menu using the MODE batani.
  2. Select the vibration alert option and toggle it on or off.

4.7 Imbani batani

Dinani pa IMBANI button to send an audible alert tone to other radios on the same channel and privacy code, signaling that you wish to communicate.

5. Kusamalira

5.1 Kuyeretsa

Kuti muyeretse cholankhulira chanu cha walkie, gwiritsani ntchito chofewa, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure all ports are closed before cleaning to maintain water and dust resistance.

5.2 Kusamalira Battery

5.3 Kukana Madzi ndi Fumbi

The DEWALT DXFRS300-SV1 radios are IP67 rated, meaning they are protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Ensure all port covers are securely closed to maintain this rating.
