4.2. Wiring the Dimmer
The LECL-153P-WH-3 dimmer can be wired for single-pole (controlling lights from one location) or 3-way (controlling lights from two locations) applications. Refer to the diagrams below for typical wiring configurations.

- Ground Waya: Connect the bare copper or green insulated ground wire from the wall box to the green ground wire on the dimmer.
- Wiring Pamodzi: Connect one black wire from the dimmer to the hot (line) wire from the wall box. Connect the other black wire from the dimmer to the load wire (to the light fixture). Cap off the red/white stripe wire if present.
- 3-Way Wiring: Connect the black wire from the dimmer to the common wire (often darker or marked differently) from the wall box. Connect the red wire from the dimmer to one traveler wire. Connect the red/white stripe wire from the dimmer to the other traveler wire. The other 3-way switch will also need to be wired correctly.

4.3. Mounting and Finishing
- Carefully push all wires back into the wall box.
- Mount the dimmer to the wall box using the provided screws.

Operating your Lumea CL dimmer is straightforward:
- Yatsani/Zimitsani magetsi: Press the large rocker switch at the top of the dimmer to turn the connected lights on or off.
- Dim/Brighten Lights: Use the vertical slide control on the right side of the dimmer. Slide it up to increase the light intensity (brighten) and slide it down to decrease the light intensity (dim).
6. Advanced Features: Dimming Range Adjustment
The Lumea CL dimmer includes a low-end trim adjustment tab, which allows you to fine-tune the lowest light level for optimal performance with your specific bulbs, especially LEDs. This helps prevent flickering or lights turning off prematurely at low dim settings.

6.1. How to Adjust the Low-End Trim
- Turn the lights on and slide the main dimmer control all the way down to its lowest setting.
- Locate the small blue tab on the left side of the dimmer, next to the main slide control.
- Using a small screwdriver or your fingernail, slowly move this blue tab up or down.
- Adjust the tab until the lights are at their lowest stable dimming level without flickering or turning off.
- Once the desired low-end is set, the dimmer will remember this setting.
7. Kusamalira
Your Lutron dimmer switch requires minimal maintenance.
- Kuyeretsa: To clean the dimmer, wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use any chemical cleaning solutions, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Ensure the dimmer is free from dust and debris to maintain optimal performance.
