The device features the following control buttons located on the front bottom:
- Button YA NTHAWI: Used to enter time setting mode and adjust time-related parameters.

3. Kukhazikitsa
3.1 Kuyika kwa Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
- Insert two (2) AAA Micro LR03 batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and - markings).

Upon battery insertion, the alarm clock will power on and automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal.
3.2 Automatic Time Synchronization (DCF-77)
The Technoline WT 235 is a radio-controlled clock, meaning it automatically synchronizes its time with the DCF-77 signal broadcast from Mainflingen, Germany. This ensures highly accurate timekeeping.
- After battery installation, the clock will automatically attempt to receive the DCF-77 signal. This process may take several minutes.
- A radio signal icon will flash on the display during signal reception. Once the signal is successfully received and synchronized, the icon will appear solid.
- For optimal reception, place the alarm clock away from electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., TVs, computers, mobile phones) and near a window.
3.3 Manual Time Setting (if needed)
If the radio signal cannot be received or if you are outside the DCF-77 reception area, you can set the time manually.
- Press ndi kugwira NTHAWI button for approximately 3 seconds to enter manual time setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
- Gwiritsani ntchito '+' or '-' mabatani kuti musinthe ola.

The clock allows for a time zone offset of ±12 hours from the DCF-77 signal.
- Mu mawonekedwe anthawi yowoneka bwino, dinani batani NTHAWI button once. The time zone offset will be displayed (e.g., '00' for no offset).
- Gwiritsani ntchito '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the time zone offset. Each press changes the offset by one hour.
- Dinani pa NTHAWI button again to confirm the setting and return to normal display.

- In normal display mode, the time, date, day of the week, and indoor temperature are shown simultaneously.

- Press ndi kugwira ALARM button for approximately 3 seconds to enter alarm setting mode. The alarm hour digits will flash.

- Dinani pa ALARM button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting. The alarm minute digits will flash.
- Gwiritsani ntchito '+' or '-' mabatani kuti musinthe ma alarm miniti.
- Dinani pa ALARM button again to confirm the alarm time and exit setting mode.
4.3 Kutsegula/Kuyimitsa Alamu
- Mu mawonekedwe anthawi yowoneka bwino, dinani batani ALARM button once. The alarm icon will appear on the display, indicating the alarm is active.
- Dinani pa ALARM button again to deactivate the alarm. The alarm icon will disappear.
4.4 Snooze Ntchito
When the alarm sounds, gently touch the top surface of the alarm clock (the touch sensor) to activate the snooze function.
- The alarm will pause for approximately 5 minutes and then sound again.
- You can repeat the snooze function multiple times.
- To stop the alarm completely, press any button on the front of the clock (NTHAWI, ALARM, '+', kapena '-').
4.5 Kuwunika
To temporarily illuminate the display, gently touch the top surface of the alarm clock (the touch sensor).
- The backlight will activate for a few seconds, making the display visible in low light conditions.
- This function is separate from the snooze function, though both are activated by the same touch sensor.
