1. Mawu Oyamba

The Intel NUC NUC5CPYH is a compact desktop barebones system designed for various computing needs, from home theater PCs to light office work. It features an Intel Braswell Dual-Core Celeron N3050 processor, Intel HD Graphics with 4K support via HDMI, and includes essential connectivity options. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your NUC.

The Intel NUC NUC5CPYH is a barebones system, meaning you will need to install RAM and a 2.5-inch storage drive (HDD or SSD) before first use.

3.1 Installing RAM and Storage

  1. Prepare the NUC: Ensure the NUC is powered off and disconnected from all power sources.
  2. Tsegulani Chassis: Carefully remove the four screws on the bottom of the NUC and lift the top cover.
  3. Intel NUC NUC5CPYH with the top cover slightly open, revealing internal components.

  4. Ikani RAM: Locate the SO-DIMM slots. Insert DDR3L-1333/1600 1.35V SO-DIMM memory modules at a 45-degree angle and push down until they click into place.
  5. Install 2.5-inch Drive: Connect your 2.5-inch HDD or SSD to the internal SATA3 connector and secure it in the drive bay using the provided screws.
  6. Tsekani Chassis: Carefully replace the top cover and secure it with the four screws.

Connect your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other necessary peripherals to the appropriate ports.

  • Onetsani: Connect your monitor using either the HDMI or VGA port. For 4K resolution, use the HDMI port.
  • Zida za USB: Connect your keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices to the available USB 3.0 ports (two on the front, two on the rear).
  • Audio: Use the front headphone/microphone jack or the rear TOSLINK optical audio output.
  • Network: Connect an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port for wired network access, or use the integrated 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
  • Mphamvu: Connect the power adapter to the DC input port and then to a power outlet.

3.3 Mphamvu Yoyamba Yoyatsa

After connecting all peripherals and power, press the power button on the top of the NUC. The power indicator light will illuminate.

4. Opaleshoni System Kukhazikitsa

The Intel NUC NUC5CPYH does not come with a pre-installed operating system. You will need to install your preferred OS, such as Windows or a Linux distribution.

  1. Create Installation Media: Prepare a bootable USB drive with your chosen operating system's installation files.
  2. Pezani BIOS/UEFI: During startup, repeatedly press the F2 key to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
  3. Configure Boot Order: In the BIOS/UEFI, navigate to the boot options and set your USB drive as the primary boot device. Save changes and exit.
  4. Install OS: The NUC will boot from your USB drive, and you can proceed with the operating system installation following the on-screen prompts.
