Setup Before First Use

  1. Chotsani: Chotsani mosamala zinthu zonse zopakira ndipo muzitaye mosamala.
  2. Koyera: Wash the removable non-stick bowl, transparent lid, measuring cup, and serving spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The main unit should be wiped with a damp nsalu. Osamiza gawo lalikulu m'madzi.
  3. Udindo: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation. Ensure there is enough space around the steam vent.
  4. Sonkhanitsani: Place the clean, dry removable non-stick bowl into the main unit. Ensure it sits correctly. Place the transparent lid on top of the bowl.

Kuphika Mpunga

  1. Yesani Mpunga: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One full cup of uncooked rice typically yields two cups of cooked rice.
  2. Sambani Mpunga: For best results and to prevent sticking, rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Onjezani Mpunga ndi Madzi: Place the washed rice into the removable non-stick bowl. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the cooking guide below.
  4. Tsekani Chivundikiro: Place the transparent lid securely on the rice cooker. Ensure the steam vent is not blocked.
  5. Lumikizani Mphamvu: Lumikizani chingwe chamagetsi pamalo oyenera amagetsi.
  6. Yambani Kuphika: Push the function switch down to the "COOK" position. The red "COOK" indicator light will illuminate.
  7. Kutentha Kwambiri: Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the "WARM" function. The red "COOK" light will turn off, and the orange "WARM" light will illuminate.
  8. Rest and Serve: For optimal results, allow the rice to rest on the "WARM" setting for 5-10 minutes after cooking is complete. Then, open the lid carefully (steam will escape), fluff the rice with the serving spatula, and serve.
  9. Chotsani: After serving, unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet.

Cleaning the Removable Bowl and Lid

After each use, allow the bowl and lid to cool completely. Wash them with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils on the non-stick surface, as this can damage the coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.
