2. Kukwera ku Kamera
Attach the E7 to your camera's hot-shoe. The E7 features a single-contact universal hot-shoe interface, compatible with most cameras equipped with a standard ISO hot-shoe (e.g., Pentax, Olympus, Fujifilm, Nikon, Sony, Canon). Note that single-contact triggers do not support TTL or HSS functions.
*A few cameras with standard hot-shoe but without a central contact (e.g., Canon EOS Rebel SL3 / EOS 250D / 200D II / Kiss X10, EOS Rebel T100 / EOS 4000D / 3000D, R50, R50V, V1; Nikon P1000) may not support single-contact triggers.

3. PC Terminal Connection (Optional)
If your camera is equipped with a PC terminal, the E7 can be connected via a sync cable (Ø3.5-PC, sold separately). Insert the Ø3.5 end of the cable into the IN port of the E7, and the other end (PC) into the camera's PC terminal. This allows simultaneous use of a flash mounted on the camera's hot-shoe and external flashes triggered via the PC terminal.

To select channels and groups, navigate through the E7's menu using the dial and center button. Ensure the E7 and your flash units are set to the same RF Channel and Air Group for proper communication.
4. Air 1 and Air 2 Control Modes
The E7 supports two control modes: Air 1 and Air 2. The choice of mode depends on the capabilities of your Profoto flash units.
- Air 1 Mode: This is a "legacy" control mode compatible with all Air-enabled flash units. When adjusting flash power in this mode, the E7 sends commands to increase (+X.X) or decrease (-X.X) power. The exact power setting of the flash units will not be displayed on the E7 screen.
- Air 2 Mode: This mode is only applicable to flash units with Air 2 (AirX) connectivity. In Air 2 mode, the E7 sends specific power level (X.X) commands to the flash units, and you can see the exact flash power settings of each group directly on the E7 screen, allowing for real-time viewing and precise light adjustment.

Press the "Head" button to turn the modeling light on or off for the connected flash units. This provides a quick way to preview your lighting setup.
7. Transmit (TX) and Receive (RX) Modes
The E7 can operate in both transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) modes, offering wider compatibility.
- TX Mode (Transmitting): Set the E7 to TX mode when using it as a trigger on your camera's hot-shoe to control external flashes.
- RX Mode (Receiving): When using a flash from other brands alongside Profoto lights, connect the third-party flash to the E7 in Receiving (RX) mode. This integrates it into the Profoto lighting system for synchronized triggering. The screen will show "RX" when in receiving mode.

8. Far/Near Distances Setting
To set an appropriate control distance, navigate to the relevant setting in the E7 menu:
- 0-1m: Select this option when the E7 is relatively close to the flash unit (within 1 meter).
- 1-200m: Select this option when remotely controlling from a distance (more than 1 meter).
