5. Kukonzekera Guide
- Powering the Sensor: Open the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor and insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
- Kulimbikitsa Weather Station:
- Pogwiritsa ntchito DC Adapter: Connect the provided power adapter to the weather station and plug it into a power outlet. The backlight will remain constantly on.
- Kugwiritsa Ntchito Mabatire: Open the battery compartment and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. The backlight will turn off after 10 seconds to save power.
- Kuyika kwa Sensor: Place the outdoor sensor in a location that is protected from direct sunlight and rain, but allows for good air circulation. Ensure it is within 60 meters (200 feet) of the main weather station in an open area, free from major obstructions.
- Wi-Fi Connection (for Wi-Fi models):
- Download the 'Smart' app from your smartphone's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your weather station and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. This will enable automatic time/date calibration and app control.
- Pairing Additional Sensors (Optional): If you have additional remote sensors, follow the instructions in the app or the sensor's specific manual to pair them with your weather station. The weather station supports up to 3 remote sensors.

6.2 Button Functions (on Sensor)

- TX (Manual Transmission Single): Press to manually send the current temperature and humidity data from the sensor to the main weather station.
- °C/°F (Temperature Unit Switch): Press to toggle the temperature display unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) on the sensor itself.
- CH (Channel Switch): If using multiple sensors, press to cycle through the channels (1, 2, 3) to ensure the sensor is transmitting on the desired channel.
6.3 Main Unit Controls
- Backlight Button: When using the DC adapter, press this button to turn the backlight on or off.
- Snooze Ntchito: When an alarm sounds, press the snooze button to temporarily silence the alarm for 5 minutes.
- Kusankhidwa kwa Magawo: Use the appropriate buttons (refer to the specific button layout on your device, usually labeled) to switch between °C/°F for temperature, inHg/hPa/mb for atmospheric pressure, and 12/24HR for time format.
6.4 App Control (for Wi-Fi models)
Once connected to the 'Smart' app:
- View real-time and historical temperature and humidity data.
- Set and manage up to 3 alarms, with options for specific days of the week.
- Configure indoor and outdoor temperature alarms.
- Switch temperature units remotely.
- Monitor trends in temperature and humidity.
7. Kusamalira
- Kusintha Battery: Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor (2 x AAA) and the main weather station (3 x AAA, if not using adapter) when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Kuyeretsa: Wipe the weather station and sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the devices in water.
- Kuyika Bwino Kwambiri: Ensure the outdoor sensor remains in an open area, free from obstructions, and within the specified transmission range (60M) for accurate readings and stable connection. For Wi-Fi models, ensure the main unit is within 25M of your Wi-Fi router without significant interference.
