  1. Kutulutsa

    Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

  2. Magetsi

    The DT580 scale can be powered by 2 AA batteries or an AC charger (DC6V). Batteries are not included.

    • Kuyika Battery: Open the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
    • Kulumikiza Adapter ya AC: Connect the DC6V AC adapter (if available) to the power input port on the side of the scale.

    Place the scale on a firm, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces, or near sources of vibration or extreme temperature changes.

  1. Kuyatsa/Kuzimitsa

    Dinani pa ON/WOZIMA button to turn the scale on or off. The display will light up and show "0.000 kg" when ready.

  2. Kuyesa Zinthu

    Place the item to be weighed directly onto the center of the weighing platform. The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen.

  3. Ntchito ya Tare

    To weigh items in a container, first place the empty container on the platform. Press the NTCHITO button. The display will reset to zero, allowing you to weigh only the contents of the container.

  4. Kusankhidwa kwa Unit

    Dinani pa MODE button to cycle through available weighing units: kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb).

  5. Counting Function (PCS)

    The PCS button activates the counting function. Refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on setting sample quantities for accurate counting.

  6. Clear Function (CLR)

    Dinani pa CLR button to clear any entered values or reset the scale to its default state.
