It is capable of measuring various electrical parameters including current, voltage, active power, reactive power, frequency, and power factor. Additionally, it supports multi-tariff energy metering and 4-quadrant energy metering.

2. Kukhazikitsa ndi Kuyika

2.1 DIN Rail Installation

The ACR10R meter is designed for easy installation on a standard 35mm DIN rail. Follow these steps:

  1. Push off the buckle on the back side of the meter.
  2. Install the 35mm DIN rail onto the slot behind the meter.
  3. Buckle up the meter to securely fix it on the DIN rail.
  4. Ensure the meter is successfully installed and stable.

2.2 Wiring Diagram and Connections

Chidziwitso Chofunika Chachitetezo: Make sure the AC cable is totally isolated from AC power before connecting the Meter and Current Transformer (CT). Incorrect connection or direction will cause incorrect data and potential hazards.

The ACR10R supports single-phase two-wire connections with external split core CTs. The meter is suitable for RS485 cable connection on the RJ45 port of Sermatec hybrid inverters.

Current Transformer (CT) Installation:

The meter uses external split core CTs. Ensure the CT is correctly oriented according to the current flow direction. For split core CTs, connect S1 (Red) and S2 (Black) wires. For Rogowski coils, connect the Positive Electrode (Red) and Negative Electrode (White) as indicated.

3. Malangizo Ogwiritsira Ntchito

3.1 LCD Sonyezani

The ACR10R features an LCD display that shows various measured parameters. The display provides clear readings of voltage, panopa, mphamvu, mphamvu, ma frequency, ndi mphamvu factor.

3.2 Keypad HMI for Programming

The meter is equipped with a keypad Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for setting parameters and configuring communication settings. This includes:

3.3 Bidirectional Metering

The ACR10R supports bidirectional metering, which is essential for distributed solar PV systems. It accurately measures both power consumption from the grid and redundant power generation fed back into the grid.

4. Kusamalira

The Acrel ACR10R meter is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance. However, regular checks can ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Kuyang'anira Zowoneka: Periodically inspect the meter and its connections for any signs of damage, loose wiring, or corrosion.
  • Kuyeretsa: Keep the meter's display and casing clean using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.

If you encounter issues with your Acrel ACR10R meter, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Zolakwika:
    • Verify that the CTs are correctly installed and oriented according to the current flow direction (refer to Section 2.2).
    • Check all wiring connections for looseness or incorrect placement.
    • Ensure the meter's parameters (e.g., CT ratio) are correctly configured via the keypad HMI.
  • Communication Issues (RS485):
    • Check the RS485 wiring for correct polarity (A and B connections).
    • Verify the communication settings (baud rate, address) on both the meter and the connected device (e.g., inverter).
    • Ensure the RS485 cable is properly connected to the RJ45 port if using Sermatec hybrid inverters.
  • Meta Siikuyankhidwa: Try power cycling the device (turn off, wait a few seconds, then turn on). If the issue persists, contact technical support.

Any fault or damage caused by misoperation or disregard of the instructions in this manual is beyond Acrel's warranty coverage.
