• Do not pull or carry by the Supply Cord, do not use Supply Cord as a handle, do not close a door on the Supply Cord and do not pull Supply Cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over the Supply Cord. Keep the Supply Cord away from heated surfaces. If not, it may cause fi re.
• Be sure the Plug is fi rmly insert into socket’s outlet before operating the appliance. If not, it may cause an electric shock or fi re.
• Clean the Plug regularly. If not, it may cause an electric shock or fi re.
• Discontinue using the appliance immediately and unplug the Plug in case of abnormal situations and breaking down. If not, it may cause an electric shock or fi re.

• Do not insert any object into the openings and do not use the appliance when it is choked. Keep it free from dust, lint, hair and anything that may block or reduce air flow.

• Treat the Hose Assembly carefully to avoid damaging it.
• Never use the appliance to pick up liquid, wet refuse or sharp material such as glass. This can cause damage to the unit.
• Do not vacuum with the Curved Wand / Ergonomic Handle or Plastic Wand / Metal Wand / Metal Telescopic Wand. Doing so will wear off the edges and lead to breakage.
• Do not operate the appliance when the Hose Connection Inlet is blocked. This can result in deformation due to overheating.
• Use the Handle when lifting the appliance to avoid damages to the Hose Assembly. Never lift the appliance by pulling the Hose Assembly as this can damage the Hose Assembly and never carry the appliance at storage condition.
• Clean the filters after cleaning the Dust Compartment to avoid any damage to the motor.
• Ensure all washable parts are completely dry before fi xing and use. This is to ensure long lasting of motor.

• Insert the Curved Wand / Ergonomic Handle and Hose Connection Pipe into the Hose Supporter at each end of the Hose until the Projection clicks into the Hole of the attachment.

Crevice Holder

1. Holding the Curved Wand, pull the Crevice Holder with Crevice Nozzle to take out the Crevice Holder and Crevice Nozzle.
2. To take out the Crevice Nozzle from the Crevice Holder, hold the Curved Wand and pull the Crevice Nozzle.

• Adjust the Suction Regulator backward to operate on carpet or curtain.

Curved Wand

• Rotate the Suction Regulator and widen the opening.

Full Capture Nozzle / 2 Step Nozzle / Floor Nozzle

■ Wood Flooring

• To avoid scratching the fl oor surface, lightly slide the nozzle in the direction of with the grain of wood.
• To prevent damaging the fl oor surface, do not vacuum by moving the nozzle side to side.

■ Carpet

1. Run the nozzle forward and backward over the carpet in one direction.
2. Repeat step 1 at an angle of 90 degrees.
3. Vacuum the corners of the carpet.

• When vacuuming new carpet, the Dust Compartment will quickly fi ll up with loose fibers from the carpet.
  This will gradually decrease with subsequent cleanings.

• When the power is switched ON or OFF, the Dust Sensor Light will light up for 2 to 3 seconds. This is not a malfunction.
• When vacuuming new mattress or blanket, it consists a lot of loose fi bers. The light might not disappear. This will gradually decrease with subsequent cleanings.
• Do not block the Suction Area. It may cause the Dust Sensor stop operating.

Mattress Nozzle (with and without Dust Sensor)
The Mattress Nozzle is suitable for mattresses and blankets.

1. Slowly slide the Mattress Nozzle forward and backward, as shown in the figure.
2. A thin mattress such as bed cover or blankets are easier to vacuum by folding the edges of the bedding in the mattress. Slowly slide the Mattress Nozzle in one direction.

• Detach the Crevice Nozzle from the Crevice Holder before using the Mattress Nozzle.

Curtain Nozzle

MC-CL609, MC-CL607, MC-CL605

• The Curtain Nozzle is suitable to clean fi ne dust particles or spider web anaunjikana pa nsalu yotchinga pamwamba.

1. Connect the Curtain Nozzle to the end of the Metal Telescopic Wand.
   Constantly slide the Curtain Nozzle downward in one direction using both hands, as shown in the figure.
2. Connect the Curtain Nozzle to the Ergonomic Handle.
   Slowly slide the Curtain Nozzle downward in one direction, as shown in the figure.

• The Curtain Nozzle is not suitable to clean scallop curtain or any beads on the curtain.
• The Curtain Nozzle is most effi ciently use on fl at surfaces. For pleated area, it can be cleaned using the Crevice Nozzle or Dusting Brush Unit.
• If there is any dust accumulated in the folded part of the curtain or in narrow spaces, it is advisable to wash the curtain.
• After vacuuming, keep the Curtain Nozzle safely.
• When the suction is too strong (especially on satin or silk curtain), adjust the Suction Regulator backward to decrease the suction power. (Refer details on page 9)
• Wash the curtain if there is any dirt or stain adhered on it.

1. Pull out the Plug and connect to the socket’s outlet.
2. Press to turn on the appliance and press  kachiwiri kuti azimitse.
3. To decrease the power, adjust Variable Power Control towards ‘MIN’.To increase the power, adjust Variable Power Control towards ‘MAX’.
   Applicable for model MC-CL609, MC-CL607 and MC-CL605 only.
4. After fi nish vacuuming, remove the Plug from the socket’s outlet and press the Cord Rewind Button.
   • When rewinding the Supply Cord, always hold the Plug so that it does not become damaged.

HOW TO STORE THE APPLIANCE

Place the unit in an upright position for storage at corner. (2 ways to store)

1. Place the unit in an upright position and insert the Nozzle Pipe Receptacle into the Receptacle which is located on the underside of the appliance body.
2. Adjust the Metal Telescopic Wand to the shortest length.

• Lift the appliance using the Grip on the underside of the appliance to stand it up.
• Never attempt to stand the appliance up by pulling the Hose (this can damage the Hose).
• Never carry the appliance at storage condition.

HOW TO CLEAN DUST COMPARTMENT

• Empty the Dust Compartment when it is full or is low suction power.
• Before cleaning the Dust Compartment, turn off the power supply and disconnect the Plug from the socket’s outlet.

Removing the Dust Compartment

Removing Dust

1. • Find a plastic bag or similar item.
   • Open the Dust Compartment to discard the dust.
2. Removing and cleaning the Upper Filter Unit or Pre-Filter.
   • Turn the Upper Filter Unit or Pre-Filter clockwise and pull it out.
   • Discard the dust in Dust Compartment (Upper Filter Unit or Pre-Filter area).
   • Use an old toothbrush or similar tool to clean the dust in Upper Filter Unit or Pre-Filter.
   *Toothbrush is not provided.
3. Cleaning the Hose Connection Inlet.
   • Use an old toothbrush or similar tool to clean the dust in Hose Connection Inlet.
   *Toothbrush is not provided.
4. Removing dust.
   • Discard the dust from Washable Filter and Sponge Filter.
5. Re-install Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter and Filter Assembly.
   • Put the Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter back into Dust Compartment (Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter area) and turn anticlockwise until a click sound is heard.
   • Insert the Hook into the Slot Hole which is located on the underside of the Dust Compartment, then close it properly.
6. Cleaning Dust Compartment surface.
   • Clean the Dust Compartment surface by using a soft and damp nsalu.
7. Re-install the Dust Compartment.
   • Make sure the Dust Compartment is closed before re-install.
   • Re-install the Dust Compartment to the original location on the appliance until a click sound is heard.

• If the suction power still low after removing dust, recommand to wash the Dust Compartment. (Refer page 18)

• Before starting maintenance, switch off the power supply and disconnect the Plug from the socket’s outlet.

Full Capture Nozzle / 2 Step Nozzle / Floor Nozzle (Inspect once a month)

1. Fiber waste and hair strands which accumulated in nozzle can reduce suction power of appliance.
2. Using an old toothbrush or similar tool, clean any dirt or lint from the brush, roller and etc. Cut off any carpet pile and lint entangled at the roller shaft with a pair of scissors.
   * Toothbrush and scissors are not provided.

Main unit ndi zowonjezera

• Pukutani ndi chofewa ndi damp nsalu.

• Never clean the unit using chemicals such as benzene, paint, thinner or alcohol. It will result in cracking and discoloration.
• Never dry the unit using hot air (from a hair dryer etc). This will cause deformation.

Dust Compartment and filters

1. Remove the Dust Compartment. (Refer details on page 14)
2. Remove the Filter from the unit, Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter, Sponge Filter and Washable Filter from Dust Compartment. (Refer details on page 14 – 15)
3. Wash the parts above at running water only. Wipe the Dust Box, Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter and Slide Supporter with clean and soft cloth. Squeeze the Filter and Sponge Filter until clean. Then place in a shady spot until all parts are completely dry.
4. Install the Filter, Dust Compartment, Upper Filter Unit / Pre-Filter, Sponge Filter, Washable Filter and Slider Supporter to the original location. (Refer to the page 16)

• Do not wash the fi lters in a washing machine, wring out, dry in a clothes dryer or under the sun. This can cause fi lters to shrink and result in dirt getting into the motor and damaging it.
• Do not wash the Washable Filter by rubbing with hand or using tools, example brush, etc.
• Make sure the filters are inserted correctly to avoid dust from entering motor compartment.

Mattress Nozzle with Dust Sensor

• Remove dust located at Suction Area.

When the Safety Device is activated
The Safety Device is activated and the motor stops in order to prevent overheating of the motor when:

• The appliance is operated continuously with a full Dust Compartment.
• Rubbish is clogging the nozzle, Curved Wand / Ergonomic Handle, Metal Telescopic Wand / Metal Wand /Plastic Wand or Hose.
• The appliance is operated for long periods with an obstructed intake or exhaust.

Empty the Dust Compartment or remove the obstruction in the nozzle, Curved Wand / Ergonomic Handle, Metal Telescopic Wand / Metal Wand / Plastic Wand or Hose.
When to use again
Wait about 60 minutes (depends on the surrounding temperature). The Safety Device will reset and you can use the appliance again.
