- To look for blockages in the front airway between the ball and the cleaner head you will need to remove the cleaner head: see ‘Base plate – disassembly/reassembly’ below for how to do this.
- To look for blockages in the rear airway between the ball and the cleaner head you will need to release the hose. Hold and slide the silver cuff out. Check thoroughly for blockages and slot them back into place.

- swing them out at right angles

The Dyson 227633-01 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is very easy to use. Turn it on by pressing the on/off switch. Slide the power switch to the “ON” position.

Is it effective with dog hair?
Yes. My dog sheds, despite the fact that he shouldn’t. I chuckle and assure him that we would return him but would never act in such a manner because I own a Dyson. My adorable dog is well worth the money.
Is this vacuum all one solid component, or can it be disassembled, kept in smaller sections, and then rebuilt for use each time?
It can only be disassembled to the extent that it was when you first obtained it.
Can someone with long hair use this vacuum?
The bristle roller needs to be cleaned after each usage. It functions perfectly, but if you don’t clean it frequently, it will stop rolling and get too hot.
This vacuum cleaner is how quiet?
It is average. somewhat noisier than my Miele, but not significantly. If I were to buy this again, the noise level wouldn’t be a concern.
Do long hairs encircle brushes?
Yes, lengthy hair does wrap around the brushes, and after vacuuming, you must trim or clean it. I still haven’t discovered the “magic” hair-free vacuum.
Can you use this on 3/8?” “high pile, hand-made wool accent rugs that would rather not have a beater bar used?
I would say without a doubt NOT based on my experience. I have never seen a “vacuum cleaner” scam as bad as this one! On whatever type of rug I have ever seen, it is completely useless. Even so, I spoke with a Dyson CSR regarding using it on carpet (1/4 “His recommendation was to send it back was a hand crafted wool accent rug. And today it’s returning. This boat anchor is definitely not a “Multi-Floor” vacuum!
Is it difficult to push if the vacuum spills onto the floor?
Not at all, no. But among my area rugs, there is one that is particularly challenging to push. My other area rugs, wall-to-wall carpeting, and hardwood floors all respond well to it.
Will it work on a shag area rug with a high pile?
No, the pile will be sucked up by the powerful suction and become caught in the brush roller.
Is removing the hair from the bristles difficult?
Neither is it any tougher or any easier than any other vacuum I’ve used. However, emptying the tank and doing other things is simpler.
Can engineered hardwood flooring be utilised with this?
Any flooring surface can be used with this product.
How frequently do you need to replace a belt on a regular basis?
On this Dyson model, I’m not aware of any belts that need to be changed.
Where may the additional attachments be attached to the vacuum
The attachments will attach to the left side of the vacuum as you stand behind it, around at knee height.
Can I use it on a vinyl floor safely?
Useful on any surface and completely safe. You can choose between rolling the brush or only using the suction with the help of two buttons. Easy.
