Parkell support FAQ

Mafunso wamba okhudza zolemba, kulembetsa, ndi chithandizo chamtunduwu.

  • How do I sterilize my Parkell ultrasonic inserts?

Parkell inserts and handpieces are supplied non-sterile. They must be cleaned and autoclaved (steam sterilized) prior to their first use and before every subsequent use to prevent cross-contamination.

  • Is it safe to use Parkell ultrasonic scalers on patients with pacemakers?

No. Due to the potential for electromagnetic interference, magnetostrictive ultrasonic scalers should not be used on patients or by clinicians with cardiac pacemakers, internal defibrillators, or other implantable electronic devices.

  • How do I send my Parkell device in for service?

You should contact Parkell support to obtain an RMA number before shipping your device. The equipment service team operates out of their New York facility to repair devices like scalers and pulp testers.

  • What kind of water supply does the TurboSensor scaler require?

The TurboSensor scaler requires a drinking-quality water supply, typically between 15-35 psi, that is free of sediment to function correctly and cool the handpiece.
