Turn on the transmitter first; the LED will usually blink to indicate it is searching. Then turn on the vehicle. The transmitter LED should turn solid or stop blinking once pairing is successful.
Check that the power switch is in the ON position. Ensure the batteries are installed with the correct polarity (+ and -) and that they are fresh. If using a rechargeable pack, ensure it is fully charged.
Charging times vary by model. Typically, initial charges for Li-ion or Li-Poly packs require 3 to 5 hours. Subsequent charges may be shorter. Always use the provided USB charger and never overcharge.
