3.1 Zowoneka Zathupi

  • Antennas: Two external 3dBi antennas for enhanced wireless coverage.
  • Zizindikiro za LED: Power (Green), Wi-Fi (Green/Red for signal strength).
  • Batani la WPS/RST: Used for WPS pairing or resetting the device to factory defaults (press for 5 seconds).
  • LAN Port: For wired connections in Access Point or Router mode.

4. Kukhazikitsa

This section guides you through the initial setup of your COMFAST CF-WR301S. The device supports Repeater Mode and Access Point Mode.

4.1 Kugwirizana koyamba

  1. Yatsani: Plug the CF-WR301S into a power outlet. Wait for the Power LED to turn green.
  2. Lumikizani ku Chipangizo: On your computer or smartphone, search for available Wi-Fi networks. Connect to the network named CF-WR301S_xxxx (where xxxx are the last four digits of the device's MAC address). No password is required for the initial connection.
  3. Kufikira Web Chiyankhulo: Tsegulani a web msakatuli ndi kulowa 192.168.10.1 in the address bar. This will open the device's configuration page.

4.2 Repeater Mode Setup

Repeater mode extends the coverage of an existing Wi-Fi network.

  1. Pambuyo polowera ku web interface (192.168.10.1), select Njira Yobwereza.
  2. The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network you wish to extend from the list.
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password for the selected network.
  4. You can choose to keep the same SSID (network name) or create a new one for the extended network.
  5. Dinani Ikani or Sungani. The device will restart. Once the Wi-Fi indicator turns green, the setup is complete.

4.3 Access Point (AP) Mode Setup

AP mode converts a wired internet connection into a wireless network.

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the LAN port of the CF-WR301S.
  2. Pitani ku web interface (192.168.10.1) and select Njira ya AP.
  3. Configure the new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  4. Dinani Ikani or Sungani. The device will restart. Once the Wi-Fi indicator turns green, the setup is complete.

5. Njira Zochitira

5.1 Repeater Mode

In Repeater Mode, the CF-WR301S wirelessly connects to your existing router's Wi-Fi network and re-broadcasts it, effectively extending the signal to areas with poor coverage. This mode is ideal for eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones.

5.2 Njira Yolowera (AP)

In AP Mode, the CF-WR301S connects to your wired network via an Ethernet cable and creates a new wireless network. This is useful for adding Wi-Fi capability to a wired-only network or for creating a separate Wi-Fi network.

6. Kusamalira

7. Mavuto

  • Sindingathe kulowa web interface (192.168.10.1): Ensure your device is connected to the CF-WR301S's default Wi-Fi network. Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
  • No internet connection after setup: Verify that the main router has an active internet connection. In Repeater Mode, ensure you entered the correct password for the host Wi-Fi network. In AP Mode, confirm the Ethernet cable is securely connected and providing internet.
  • Weak signal or slow speed: Relocate the CF-WR301S closer to your main router. Ensure there are no major obstructions (thick walls, metal objects) between the devices.
  • Kukhazikitsanso chipangizo: If you encounter persistent issues, press and hold the WPS/RST button for approximately 5 seconds until the LEDs flash. This will restore the device to factory default settings.
